Numerical Modelling GmbH is the official distributor of the NM-SESES software, a state-of-the-art software-tool for modeling multiphysics systems based on the finite element (FE) method. In general, it may be used to study coupled phenomena stemming from the linear or non-linear analysis of electrostatics, magnetostatics, current flow, eddy currents, elasticity, thermal flow, fluid flow, reactive mass flow and semiconductor drift-diffusion. The numerical software is mostly developed by our academic partner at ICP-ZHAW within joint research projects.

NM-SESES major features

  • Multiphysics solver covering almost all 2D/3D PDEs of classical physics with generic user defined coupling terms and an immense range of applications.
  • User-friendly graphical interface for a step-by-step problem definition and visualization of numerical results.
  • Powerful functional input-language for the specification of parametrized geometries, physical models, solution algorithms and post-processing data.
  • Adaptive mesh generation and state-of-the-art numerical algorithms.
  • Offers subdomain modeling for improved efficiency in complex multi-domain problems.
  • Flexible post-processing capabilities to export and visualize numerical results.
  • Simulation problems are concisely structured by defining reusable libraries. Physical properties for many materials are already available as libraries and new materials can be easily added.
  • Runs on Windows, Linux and MAC OS X.
